so we're on four hours of sleep

no biggie right?!

i mean it is the weekend.

and it was such a fun weekend!

on friday after class i decided to work out with mark

[again]

such a bad choice.

but i convinced mel to do it with me so we were both almost dead together.

mark decided to have us do P90X,

or as i like to call it...kill me now.

trust me it's now two days later and i'm still feelin' it.

after P90X mel and i were such sweet gems and we cooked the boys and natalie some fettuccine alfredo.

[and yes mom it turned out...and it was good!]

after that we headed to angie's to "clean the sink."

so i brought my love sack up to college with me and it has just gotten the name of the "baby maker" because mel and i's roommates well...the name says it all i guess.

anyways after we ate at angie's we all did our "pregnant bellies." coxey chose mark over natalie.

poor girl!

and we partied through the sunroof on the way home.

no biggie.

after that mel and i thought the night was over.

some of the boys decided to come hang out at our apartment...until 4:30!

don't get me wrong it was a blast but wow so late!

the next morning ky, jason, and i had to go see the play romeo and juliet for one of our classes.

we decided to make it one big date.

this was all super until we found out the it was an all male cast.

can you say mcnasty?

yea, we had to watch guys kiss...

quite a few times.

the boys then treated us to some texas roadhouse.

yum.

and then we had the first home football game.

which we won.

and we are super aggie fans!

and here are some of my most favorite aggies.

we have jason, mark, mel, nat, coxey.

teague, me, jj, and brandon.

i love them. we stay up way too late and are having way too much fun.

but most of all i love these two.

the best friends a kid could ask for.

life is good.

the best birthday.

so i turned the big 19 on september the 8th.

if i wasn't such a pathetic blogger then i would have posted about my birthday on my birthday.

but i guess three days late works too.

anyways my day was great!

first i aced my stats quiz.

i was done with school by 11.

and i got to visit with this fun kid.

and although he pocketed the money nelson gave him to give me for my birthday i still love him.

cath, garth, george, and i went to subway and it was so fun to get to catch up with them..

(garth and george i mean, cath and i are still together A LOT!)

after that i went back home to find my roommates had decorated my room and gotten me a cute gift.

i sure do love them.

[random story]

on september 7th at 11:57 p.m. i was skyping with a friend and mel was hiding outside of my room.

and exactly midnight she jumped in and yelled HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

she scared me so bad but her face was hilarious!

and just as a side note i am so thankful that mel is my roommate.

we've become super close and she was exactly what i needed coming up to college.

anyways after i saw my room all cute and decorated kyler cooked us a great dinner and then a group of us went to cold stone. it was such a fun day and the best way to celebrate my 19th birthday!

a gift for kyler.

so for my birthday kyler got me a present and made dinner.

such a gem.

she wasn't at home later that night so mel and i decided we should give kyler a present since she is just the best.

say hello to her new computer background..

it happened again...

another story that just has to be documented.

why they always happen to me i will never know.

anyways, the other night i went with mark to workout.

bad choice #1

he told me we would do some "light" running and an ab workout.

my legs are jelly and my abs KILL!

our "light" running was only light for a short amount of time.

when mark thought i'd "lightly" run long enough he would crank that baby up to what was supposed to be a "jog"..the "jog" was actually a "run as fast as you can or you will fall right off of the treadmill."

and the ab workout..well i wanted to die a little bit!

so we were working out and i had to leave a little bit early because i decided to be a really good kid and go to institute. i texted mel and told her to wait for me because i was walking home. pretty soon i start to realize that i am headed nowhere near home. i have absolutely NO idea where i am! i call mel slightly freaked out.

what did mel do?

she laughed.

i finally find a building and i tell her what building it is...i'm clear on the opposite side of campus!!

now the fact that i'm lost isn't really that surprising or funny until you understand this...

the way to get from the gym to my apartment is down one road...straight the whole way...and i got lost.

super lost.

so mel and kyler jump in the car to come pick me up so we can all head to institute.

and i'm super sweaty and oh so very crusty.

awesome way to go to a class with boys don't ya think?

so we arrive and kyler can't find anywhere to park so she just decides to park in a restricted area for two reasons:

1. we will only be gone for an hour.

2. we're following the lord so we can't get in trouble right?

[wrong]

after institute we walk back to the car...and it's booted.

kyler was pissed!

she called the guy and her conversation went like this:

man: hello?

ky: i need help.

man: where are you?

ky: i don't know.

man: uh well what are you by?

ky: the freaking institute building...and i'm so freaking pissed!

man: uhh... i'll be there shortly..

sadly all mel and i could do was laugh hysterically.

it was so funny.

so the guy shows up and says he can't take the boot off without being paid so kyler goes to grab her wallet...which she left at the house. along with mel and i's wallets. which only made kyler even more mad but by this point mel and i could not stop laughing.

we called mark who ran to our house got our wallets and ran them to us.

such a gem.

we got the boot off, drove home, and now the ticket hangs on out fridge. makes us laugh every time we look at it.

which leads me to this photo:

melanie: tries to act sad but as you can see she is ready to bust up laughing.

brin: super crusty from a hard workout and being lost. and finding enjoyment in all of this.

and then there's kyler: not the happiest camper.

so there was an 80's dance...

let's just say i got a little carried away with the bangs.

my mother taught me well.

the dance was so fun though! there were tons of people and it consisted of a lot of jumping up and down and screaming at the top of our lungs! but let's be honest, getting ready and taking pictures was by far the funnest part!

so i look freakishly like my mom in this picture.

i guess good genes and big bangs will do that to ya!

but no night is complete without a little jumping action!

i love college!

the men in my life.

mel and i have come to a compromise.

we're going to share the men in our lives.

where to begin?

since i got home from alaska my life has been...different to say the least.

no worries though, i'm loving every second of it!

i came home and alg and mckell had decorated my room.

they are the greatest!

i got home and the next day i headed straight for the river.

tyler got to come hang out with me and i loved it.

it has been way too long since i saw him.

sarah also came over to visit.

i missed that girl way too much!

the next day my dad took mack, hunter, and i boating.

hunter is legit at wakeboarding and mack even got on the wakeboard!

it was my last day in idaho and had the best time!

on sunday my family dropped me off at utah state.

we got my room and set up and decorated and i am in love with it.

school has been stressful, trying to buy books, getting campus all figured out, and all the online junk i'm trying to get used to. but it has been an adventure! i love that i meet so many different people everyday.

i also love these three.
