19.7.12

this summer.

this summer is definitely going to go into the books as being one of the best summers.
ever.
i've laughed a little too hard.
probably should have worked a little harder.
got ma tan on.
been fried.
and watched a lot...seriously a lot of baseball.

a few of the happenings...and mostly just pictures:

i've basically spent every single day with kk.
and clearly i wouldn't have it any other way.

this summer there's been a fair share of jeep cruisin'

and of course jetski riding...
it happens almost daily.

random wendy's runs.
this particular night we were there as they were closing and so every wendy's item that you see...totally free.
best night ever.

some bunny bashing, thug style.

music videos.
so the three of us get a little crazy.
it's no biggie.

i sure love them,
and it's been beyond nice to get to spend so much time with them this summer.

i get to work on my tan.
..and of course i have to study.

i officially became the shortest.

dal's soccer jersey treasures.
probably my most favorite shirt that i own.

let's be honest, i've spent my fair share of this guys money this summer.
he's a champ.
and i love him.

i'm going to school to get my cna.
i've made some pretty neat new friends.

the rikster and i got to coach a little league team this year.
we weren't very good, but we did have a good time.
...and our record may not have been 100% BUT we are 100% on knowing our rules!

holla' for the sand gnats!

more river time.

ky ky got married!
such a great day!

i got to watch the smackster play lots and lots of baseball.
he's a champ.
and he's clearly even classy when he sleeps.
what a gem.

kk and i got nominated to be monthly speakers in church.
bleh.

and let's not forget the neighborhood kids who show up at my door no later than 5 minutes after i arrive home.
every day.

between work and coaching, i was always keepin' it classy.

kk and i learned to slack line.
[over the canal]
we i'm still horrible, but i'd go again in a hearbeat!

notice the tan line? :)

we set up some hammocks.
aka the best hang out spot in burley.

sheet dance parties.
always a winner.

more baseball..
and cafe rio.

and my favorite home girls.

tube time.

and fireworks.

babysitting.

and cocoa puffs at midnight.
[heaven]

there's been missionary homecomings and farewells.
i'm about missionaried out.
too many emotions.

finally got my picture with the idaho sign!
i've only lived here for 16 years.

harris pond!

and a little paint fight.

things not documented via pictures:
bandido runs.
one tree hill marathons.
the trip to the "D."
skinny dippin/streaking. :)

it's been one fabulous summer, and it's only going to continue! :)

so for the first time in my life..

..i finally wanted to get married...
aaand after about five second it ended.
but i mean that means there's hope right?!

my beautiful roommate kyler got married.
she was hands down one of the most beautiful brides i've ever seen.

watching her and braden walk out of the temple together and seeing how happy they were just made me want to get married.
..but now i'm happy with living the whole marriage thing vicariously through them.

i was able to be a bridesmaid at their wedding and it was such a fun time.

at the temple:

and then after a few tears because i was lost [shocker] i made it to the reception:

congrats braden and ky!

melly and i are sure going to miss that pretty little lady...

and were still not quite sure how were going to get the boys without her.
we seem to be a little strange..

18.7.12

so this one time..

so this one time i ran the ragnar....
a race from logan to park city.

i had three legs: 6.8 miles. 4.9 miles. and then 7.9 miles.
a grand total of 19.2.

it was hands down one of the hardest things i've ever done.
[my hips didn't forgive me for days.]
and yet it was so much fun, and so rewarding.

i went two days on basically no sleep.
aching muscles.
sleeping on a gym floor with a jillion other people.
running in the heat.
running at 3am.

laughing so hard my stomach hurt.
making new friends.
and proving to myself that i can do hard things.

thanks to my teammates for making it such a good experience for me!

basically the best.

june 13, the day i had been looking forward to for two years.
the day i almost believed would never come...

well, it came.
and it was honestly thee best day ever!

i could not sleep the whole night and so i woke up at four and spent a good two and a half hours getting ready..and pacing.
i went to school and took my test...basically just circled random things because i was having a hard time focusing.

can you blame me?

as soon as my test was over i rushed out of csi and headed for home.
i arrived home to two brothers who were just as excited as i was.

we hopped in the car and headed to salt lake.

we arrived [an hour early] met up with my grandparents and started to wait..

12:30 came around....no plane.
we found out it had been delayed and hour.

and so after three hours of waiting we finally heard the announcement that my parents...and dallin's plane had arrived.

dal was the first one we saw walking toward us.
i was instantly in tears.
hunter was clapping.
and then out of the corner of my eye i saw smack run and jump right into dallin's arms.

this picture honestly just melts my heart.
we were so happy.

it was the best moment of my whole life.

after we left the airport we went out to eat, bought some clothes for dal [he gave away everything except for what he was wearing] listened to his stories, and of course laughed at what a weirdo he was. :)

we went to pres. harper's house on the way home and dal was officially released from being one champ of a missionary.

and then as we entered our neighborhood and turned the corner dal was greeted by this mob of kids...

he's clearly been missed.
i am so happy he is back..
[and has been for almost two months...oops]

it's been so so so great to have one of my best friends back.

i'm so proud of him for serving the lord for two years. he's one of my biggest role models, and one of my best friends.

so here's to you dal, i sure love you!
good work.
