mel had a funny

so since i basically use this as my journal i want to write down all of the funny things that have happened.
tonight mel and i went to family home evening and we were playing apples to apples.
mel was reading all of the cards we had all put in to choose a winner.
as she was going along she came to the words rappers.

she pronounced it rapers and didn't catch her mistake,
she just kept reading along. unfortunately everyone else saw the card and we started to laugh.
i leaned to mel and said dude the word is rappers.

i love that girl.

visitors!

this weekend kari brought stormie and chancey to a softball clinic at utah state.
i got to go visit with kari and then go to lunch with all of them.
it was such a fun day and so good to catch up with storm and chance.

love them!

i'm a rebel

ok not really.
i'm still yet to be a true aggie or an ultimate aggie.
BUT
i am a true merlin olson aggie!
true story.

saturday night after the game (which we won) cath and i decided to become true merlin olson aggie's by kissing the merlin olson statue.

i kissed the statue, cath did cop watch,
then it was vice versa.
then our night turned into this:

not much has changed since alaska.

life around here.

our lives basically consist of crusty pony tails, yoga pants, t-shirts/sweatshirts, life savers, and each other.
and when i say life savers i'm not kidding.
we go through a huge bag like it's nobody's business.

life is good.

mack is growin' up!

on saturday mack turned 11.
i can't believe how old my little mack is getting.

i love my little mack,
(i just realized i should probably retire the "little" in little mack, i mean the kid is basically bigger than i am now days.)
mack and i have a very unique story.
i was a happy little 8 year old who always dreamed of getting a baby SISTER.
one day my mom decided to make all of my dreams come true when she announced that she was going to have another baby.
i was so excited and my mom even let me go to the ultra sound with her.
the nurse then told me mack was a boy and i was crushed.
[seriously i was, i bawled the rest of the day.]
for the next few months i hated the baby in my mom's tummy and i prayed every day that the gender would change.
on october 1, 2000 the gender stayed the same and i was blessed with my mack.
i refused to hold him for the first five minutes and then i finally gave in.
i've loved the kid ever since.
since then he's been one of my best friends and i would never change him for the world.
i'd do anything for this goofy kid.

11 of my favorite things about mack are:

1. he makes me laugh every day. the things he says and does make me laugh and wonder where in the world he came from. one day we were messing around and he fell down. he instantly jumped right back up and said, "don't worry, i'm fine..cuz i'm a texan!" what in the world?!
2. he's a redsox lover. enough said.
3. he's my best friend even when i yell at him or we fight. the kid is ALWAYS there.
4. he never turns me down when i ask him to take a picture with me.
5. he's a stud. mack always hangs out with me even when i've got friends over. not only that but all of my friends love the mack daddy. he is the best!
6. he's always up for anything i want to do. bandido runs, jetski rides, picture taking, anything.
7. he lets me complain to him.
8. every time i see him he measures himself to see who's taller. [i'm still winning.]
9. his laugh. it's the goofiest sounding thing and once he starts he can't stop. hunter and i will always egg him on to the point where he can't even breathe.
10. when he's mad at me he just wrestles me to the ground and once he knows he's beat me he isn't mad anymore. and by that point i'm usually laughing so hard i'm not mad anymore either.

and finally...
11. mack is my little man, my best pal, and he's mine forever.

i love you mack and i hope you had the best birthday ever!

i have the best friends

and they always make me happy when i'm sad.
like last night for instance.
last night the rays won and the redsox lost meaning that my sox aren't in the playoffs...
again.
i was just the saddest kid.
but i have the greatest friends in my life.

one second i was in my room with mel, a little depressed,
and the next thing i knew teague and j-carr were at my door.
coldstone run it is.

we ate our ice cream (which was awesome)
and then we headed back to our apartment to have a glee party.
but as we were driving back home we all got hit with a huge sugar rush.
and we were super hyper.

and then when we were in the parking lot we had a dance party.

i have the best of friends,
and i am so glad that they are mine.

better luck to my celtics!

library lovin'

yesterday i had some reading that i needed to get caught up on.
i figured i may as well stop by the library after class because i knew i wouldn't actually read anything at my apartment.
i went into the library, found a super comfy chair, and started reading.
about thirty minutes later i fell asleep with my book wide open on my lap.
twenty minutes after that i woke up to find myself a sweet little surprise!
some sweet little gem had decided to leave their name and number in my book when i was sleeping!

no idea who this kid is or what he he was thinking when he left me that present.
all i know is that i must have been out if he was placing stuff in my book and i didn't even wake up!

so thanks Chris Olson whoever you are!
you may have me creeped out a little bit, but kyler and mel think you're hilarious!
