i love random, it keeps life interesting.
a few weeks ago emily, tanner, and i were sitting home on a friday night, and we were in desperate need of something to do.
we were trying to come up with ideas, and of course my idea was swimming.
what can i say, i'm a water kind of kid.
well of course swimming sounded appealing to everybody, the real problem was that we didn't really have anywhere to go. there was no river to just go jump in, and we didn't have any gym memberships to use.
so instead we just decided to hit up the local hampton inn and give their pool a try.

we were pretty nervous about getting caught [obviously we're not the most rebellious bunch.]
but luckily we walked into the hotel at the same time as four other families. therefore the front desk was too busy to even notice us. our luck continued as we walked straight to the pool and a lady was right in front of us was headed to the same place. she used her key to open the door and we followed her as if we were true hampton inn residents.
and for the next hour and a half we swam and had the best time.

we took the life saving devices and used them as our own personal tubes.
we sat in the hot tub until we were too hot and then we would jump into the freezing cold pool.
and then once we were pruny looking we left and hit up mcdonald's for an ice cream cone.

all in all, it turned out to be a pretty good night.

the next day my family came down to utah for a single's ward activity my dad was in charge of. we went and visited them and it was so fun to see some family and friends.
the only downside was that the activity was nascar...

we're huge fans, clearly.
